These chairs are nice looking and go really well in a formal or informal area. The seats are nice and neutral, but they are a little hard, but much better than wood. Keep the tool that assembles them though. We didn't keep ours and a couple of the chairs weren't tight enough and they keep unscrewing so we have to do it by hand. Hopefully I can find something to tighten them well. But, that was out fault! Good value from Dining Direct. I looked all over!
